The main line replacement project has been completed. All new piping has been installed, tested and connected to the existing water system. New paving will occur in the near future. Bidding document are being prepared and requests for quotes will be sent out to various contractors. The weather will play a large part in determining when the new asphalt will be laid, as we want to receive the best job possible.

This project created some inconveniences for several weeks, especially for the residents in the construction zone; however, the benefits will be noticed by the majority of the community. This section of pipeline has failed many times in the past several years with five failures occurring during 2006 alone. Each time this line would fail, it had the potential to affect a large portion of the community well outside of the area of the failure. With this new pipeline installed, we can feel some relief knowing that this section will no longer fail thereby causing the disruptions that can be so frustrating.
